What your blood type say about your personality, health, relationships, and even your intelligence?
The idea of linking blood type to one’s personality started in Japan during 1916 when a Japanese doctor, Kimata Hara, published a research paper claiming that blood group is linked with one’s temperament. Around 1925, military personnel began typing soldier’s blood as they believed that it can identify their strengths and weaknesses. However, the theory was opened to the public when a psychologist, Takeji Furukawa, wrote his thesis titled “The Study of Temperament Through Blood Type”.Specifically, how your blood type tells you about your personality type, predisposition to diseases, even dating tips!
A blood type personality:
People with A blood type are sensitive, cooperative, emotional, passionate and clever. They are very patient, loyal and love peace and thus do not like to get into a fight with anyone. But sometimes these people become overly sensitive. They do not like to break the rules set down by society and care about etiquette and social standards.
These people take their time to make decisions and are highly organized particularly precise and may pay too much attention to details. They like things neat and clean and in the right place, which is why many people with OCD fall into A blood type.
People with this blood type also get stressed easily and thus have a high level of cortisol (stress) hormone.
Common personality traits: Kind, shy, attentive, stubborn, polite, tensed, reliable, overly sensitive, perfectionist, responsible, timid, anxious, composed and reserved.
Best personality traits: Loyal, perfectionists, organized and consistent.
Negative personality traits: Obsessive, overly sensitive, pessimistic, stubborn, easily stressed and fastidious.
These people make reliable and trustworthy friends. They do not like to show their emotions and feelings to anyone unless comfortable with them.
B blood type personality:
These people are very creative and quick decision makers. But they are not good at taking orders. They put every part of themselves into something they want to focus on. They have a very strong desire and drive to be the best at everything they do. But just like the A blood type, these people are also not good at multi-tasking.
People with B blood type are thoughtful and empathetic towards others and make good and reliable friends. These people also face a lot of discrimination because of their negative personality traits such as selfishness and being uncooperative at times. Society also focuses on the negative side of the people with B blood type, even though they have a good side too. But because of this, they tend to be loners.
Positive personality traits: Curious, strong, relaxed, creative, adventurous, passionate, cheerful, active and outgoing.
Negative personality traits: Wild, erratic, selfish, unforgiving, uncooperative, irresponsible and unpredictable.
AB Blood type personality
People with AB blood type are a mix of A and B personality types, just like their blood group. These people are complicated and can have dual personalities like they can be shy like A type as well as outgoing like B type. They try to keep their true personalities from strangers, thereby making most believe that they are a mixed personality. It is hard to decode these people until you know them thoroughly. Also, these people are the rarest blood type in the world.
They are charming and make friends easily. There will never be a dull moment in a group of friends even if only one of them is AB blood type. They are poor at handling stress.
AB people are very careful while dealing with others and are empathetic. These people also have exceptional analytical and logical skills.
Good personality traits: Charming, controlled, cool, dream chaser, caring, rational, trustworthy, adaptable and creative.
Negative personality traits: Complicated, vulnerable, irresponsible, self-centered, forgetful, unforgiving and critical.
O Blood type personality:
People with O blood type are daring, outgoing and go-getters. They have a habit of setting high standards for themselves and doing all they can to achieve them. These people have excellent leadership qualities and little things do not bother them, which makes them appear selfish to other people, especially to A type.
They are generous, kind-hearted and loving. They adapt well with changes. They are resilient and flexible and can do better than other blood types in tough situations.
Positive personalities traits: Leadership, easy going, positive outlook, confident, calm, outgoing, cautious, loyal, peaceful, passionate, independent, reliable, carefree, trendsetter and devoted.
Japanese people call people with O blood type, warriors because they are strong and enduring. These people are honest and hate people who hide the truth.
Negative personality traits: Jealous, ruthless, rude, non-punctual, insensitive, cold, unpredictable, self-centered and arrogant.
I am blood type 0+ I must agree with most everything above. My friends call me “The Leader” it’s been a running joke forever! I have owned several businesses in different industries. I bought businesses I knew nothing about, but I knew I could learn them and succeed. It is true I don’t let little things bother me; I do not care what people think of me either.
I am generous to a fault, just ask my bank account… I thrive on being laid back, carefree, and I do love some peace and quiet! I like alone time. I am also very independent, I could not work for someone else, nor do I like being told what to do. I am confident with my choices and rarely ask for others’ opinions. Although I am the one everyone comes to for advice, because they know I will not judge nor spread gossip. I cannot stand people who lie, cannot admit when they are wrong, or cannot apologize, it drives me crazy! I am not jealous, I am truly happy for other people’s success and happiness. I have been ruthless in business and when I have been wronged… I am extremely polite, and friendly, but you would not want to get on my bad side. Some may call it rude; I just tell it like it is. I am always on time, but never early. I do consider 5 minutes or so not late…

Blood Types and Relationships!
Blood Type A:
Male: Men with type A blood are believed to have friendly, charming personalities despite their introverted nature. Always punctual, these guys have high expectations and put great effort into everything that they do. They do have a tendency, though, to be very sensitive and fragile-hearted, and as a result take longer than those with other blood types to trust or get close to a new partner or love interest.
Female: Prideful and somewhat greedy, women with type A blood prefer doing things their way, do not adapt to change very easily, and tend to be a bit difficult to satisfy. They are, however, loyal to their partners to a fault. When this loyalty is not reciprocated, they can be very jealous and feel betrayed easily.
Best match: Blood type O
Blood Type B
Male: Type B men are the most notorious – and the most avoided – of the lot. Intelligent, witty, and often the center of attention, these guys are very popular with the ladies. And while they do fall in love easily, they tend to lose interest just as quickly despite their playboy tendencies, type Bs are very passionate about and devoted to the things and people they care about most.
Female: Like their male counterparts, type B women are independent and enjoy being wild, free, and spontaneous, making them some of the most fun people to be around. They are also known for their propensity to speak their mind, regardless of how their words might affect others. Simultaneously, however, they are highly affected by their emotions and prone to mood swings, making them difficult to communicate with at times.

Male: Typically, more reserved, fellas with blood type AB often come across as cold and emotionally detached upon first impression. But in reality, they are actually among the most caring, honest, and romantic of the blood types, and are generally the first to forgive. Despite their ability to adapt easily to new environments, they tend to give up on people and projects easily if their expectations are not met, so their partners often must fight for them to maintain a relationship.
Female: Type AB ladies are known for their caring and considerate personalities, and often come across as very confident. On the inside, though, they can be dominated by their insecurities, making them very suspicious of other people, like their romantic partners. They’re very curious about other peoples’ business and can be very vulnerable to bouts of jealousy.

Male: Possessing a friendly, optimistic attitude and perhaps the best personality of the four blood types, type O men have a reputation for being natural leaders and athletes – both in and out of the bedroom. While borderline arrogant and overly confident, type O’s can also be extremely sensitive and emotional, and often do not express their feelings out of fear of rejection.
Female: Type O women are known for being extremely caring and patient, and usually treat others’ problems as if they were their own, which can, at times, result in their getting hurt and feeling lonely. They appear considerably strong on the outside, but can be emotionally weak and fragile, and lose control of their stress easily. These ladies often exhaust themselves from taking care of everyone around them, and thus prefer spending time in small groups rather than large ones.

Being a female 0, I am not sure how I went from a strong leader, caring, generous, easy going to getting my feelings hurt and being so lonely! OUCH! Leaders are not sensitive you can’t be you have to be in control. Leaders, Entrepreneurs naturally know rejection is part of the process to succeed and grow. I am also not so caring and patient when it comes to my partner. I think because he’s a man and needs to act like one. This one does not match up with me at all.
Yes, the Japanese culture and many people believe your blood type can tell you about your personality and dating but to be clear we are not stating this as fact. It is fun though!
Let’s move on to what your blood type says about your health:
Heart Disease:
There’s good news for O blood types. Research shows your risk of coronary heart disease tends to be lower. Experts aren’t sure why. Some think it might be because other types are more likely to have higher cholesterol and higher amounts of a protein that’s linked to clotting.
Stomach Cancer:
A, AB, and B blood types are more at risk than type Os. Specifically, people with type A blood are more likely to get stomach cancer. Researchers think this might be because H. pylori infection is more common in people with type A blood. That’s a bacterium that’s usually found in the stomach. It can cause inflammation and ulcers.
Memory:
A small study showed that people with memory problems had type AB blood more than any other. I think the older you get everyone has memory problems.
Pancreatic Cancer
Your risk is higher if you’re type A, AB, or B. Molecules in type A and B red blood cells help certain bacteria called H. pylori grow in your gut. It can make you more likely to get pancreatic cancer.
Stress
Stress boosts your body’s level of cortisol, the stress hormone. People with type A blood tend to have more cortisol, anyway. So, you may have a harder time dealing with stressful situations.
